KARACHI: A total of 1170 dengue fever cases have been reported in Sindh since January 2013, out of them 1107 were detected in Karachi and 63 in rest of the province, Dr M Shakeel Aamir Mullick focal person for Dengue Surveillance Cell Sindh said on Saturday.

So far 11 dengue patients have died in Karachi in 2013, Mullick said. He said that 41 dengue patients are still admitted to different hospitals of the Sindh, while 12 patients have been discharged from hospitals after treatment in the city.

Mullick said that 27 new cases were reported in Karachi on Saturday, out of which 16 were Out Patient Departments (OPD) cases.

Mullick said that 48 cases were detected in Hyderabad, two in Kambar, two in Sanghar, two in Shikarpur,two in Thatta, Two in Sukkur, one in Larkana, one in Dadu, one in Khairpur, one in Naushero Feroz, andone in Kashmore since January 2013.
