RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A group of 38 Students from the US’s Harvard University hailing from 9 different Countries met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at Pakistan Army’s General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Friday as part of their visit to Pakistan.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during interactive session, the COAS talked about regional security issues and Pakistan Army’s contributions to promote peace and stability in the region.Group of Students from US’s Harvard University meets General Asim Munir

The Army Chief highlighted about the rich potential of Pakistan and urged the participants to perceive Pakistan based on their experiences during their stay in Pakistan.

General Asim Munir underscored that Pakistan is acting as bulwark against terrorism and international community must realize the immense sacrifices given by Pakistan.Group of Students from US’s Harvard University meets General Asim Munir

The COAS also highlighted the human suffering and atrocities being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIIJOK) and efforts to change the demographic realities.

Students appreciated the COAS for providing the opportunity for a constructive interaction.
