ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The outgoing Country Director of World Bank in Pakistan Patchamuthu Illangovan paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The Minister for Economic Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar and Senior Officials were also present in the meeting.
Patchamuthu Illangovan thanked the prime minister for his support during his stay in Pakistan.
He recognized Pakistan’s efforts towards stabilization of the economy and overall reform process including response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The prime minister appreciated the partnership with the World Bank and wished the out-going the World Bank Country Director success for his next assignment.
Separately, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmakers in the National Assembly Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar from Sheikhupura and Malik Muhammad Ehsan Ullah Tiwana from Khushab also met the prime minister in Islamabad.
