Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the political leadership as well as Pakistan army is on the same page to negotiate with India with the objective to bring stability and peace in the region.

In his address after performing the groundbreaking of four kilometer-long Kartarpur Corridor in Narowal on Wednesday, Imran Khan said that all issues including Kashmir dispute can be resolved bilaterally if the leadership of both Pakistan and India develop the required intention.

Imran Khan reiterated that if India takes once step for peace, Pakistan will take two steps. He said that Pakistan and India have huge potential to grow but they just require to develop friendship and promote bilateral trade.

The prime minister said that strong economic ties and resolution of bilateral disputes will also help the two Countries eradicate the poverty.

Meanwhile, the prime minister assured the Sikh Community that the facilities at Kartarpur will be even better for next year’s 550th birth celebrations for Baba Guru Nanak.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar, the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, Federal Ministers, and other senior officials were present on the occasion.

Similarly, the Indian Minister for Food Harsimrat Kaur Badal, the Indian Minister for Housing Hardeep S. Puri, Indian Punjab Minister for Local Government & Tourism and former Cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Indian journalists along with a large number of Sikh Yatrees also witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony.
