“We have seen extraordinary growth in the last year or so, which has prompted more driver partners to join the Uber network,” said Safee Shah, GM Pakistan. “This flagship partner support center is one of the largest in the region and can serve hundreds of driver partners on any given day. It is a testament to the positive impact our technology has had in Karachi and in our commitment to Pakistan, as a prime market for Uber.”

This will oversee partner on-boarding process, which also includes information sessions for interested drivers, on-the-spot on-boarding and activation of new partners, and full circle support services for existing partners.  All new drivers must also take a session on ‘Dignity at Work’ training designed in partnership with Kashf Foundation which is part of Uber’s global initiative to help prevent harassment. The centre is open 7 hours a day on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends, operates 7 days a week, and is busy around the clock.

Since its launch in Pakistan, Uber now operates in nine cities with more than 30,000 active driver partners, most of whom have joined the platform for the flexible economic opportunity it provides. Uber continues to showcase its commitment to Pakistan, increasing its range of services to meet the needs of riders, driver partners, and cities.
