ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday distributed rewards among the Best Performing Ministries in the light of the Performance Agreement.
In this regard, a Ceremony was held in Islamabad to distribute Appreciation Certificates to 10 Ministers for their outstanding performance.
Those who received the Certificates from the prime minister included the Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, the Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, the Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Sania Nishtar, the Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, the Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari, the Minister for Industries and Production Khusro Bakhtiar, the Advisor on National Security Division Dr. Moeed Yusuf, the Adviser on Commerce Razak Dawood, the Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, and the Minister for National Food Security Fakhar Imam.

In his remarks at the Ceremony, the prime minister stressed that improved performance of ministries is very critical to achieve the Country’s self-sufficient target.
The prime minister said that the government is fully focusing on ensuring good governance and the main objective is to improve the lives of the people.
The prime minister said performance assessment is very imperative to bring improvement in the bureaucracy. He said that incentives will be increased for best performing ministries in future.
Imran Khan called for exploring non-traditional ways to meet economic challenges.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Establishment Mohammad Shehzad Arbab briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan about the evaluation and assessment process of performance of ministries.
