ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan Navy was of paramount importance in regard to the Country’s defence.
In a meeting with the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah who called on him at the PM House in Islamabad, the prime minister appreciated the role of Pakistan Navy in defending the maritime borders of the Country.
The prime minister said that the government would take all possible steps to further enhance the professional capabilities of Pakistan Navy.
The Naval Chief briefed the prime minister on professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Navy. He said that Pakistan Navy was ready and well equipped to defend vital maritime infrastructure and protect the country against all threats.
Earlier, member of the National Assembly Ghulam Bibi Bharwana also called on the prime minister in Islamabad, and apprised him on issues pertaining to various welfare and uplift schemes in her constituency.
