ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The SecretaryGeneral of the Muslim World League Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa called on Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday.

Welcoming His Excellency, the prime minister appreciated the efforts of His Excellency and the Muslim World League for playing an important role in uniting the Muslim Ummah and spreading the message of peace, tolerance and inter-faith harmony.

The prime minister also highlighted that the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Muslim World League and His Excellency for important Muslim causes, especially on Palestine and Kashmir is commendable.

Highlighting the ongoing devastating impact of the floods in Pakistan which have affected more than 33 million people all across Pakistan, he appreciated the support provided by Saudi Arabia to Pakistan during these hard times.

The prime minister expressed that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relationship with Saudi Arabia which are rooted firmly in our common religion, shared values and culture.

Extending best wishes to the secretary-general for his ongoing visit, Shahbaz Sharif assured His Excellency and his delegation full support during their stay in Pakistan.

Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa is visiting Pakistan from October 05-14, 2022.
