ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ministry of National Health Services on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan in Islamabad for implementation of Sehat Sahulat Programme in all districts of the Country.

While speaking on the occasion, the Minister for National Health Services Aamer Mehmood Kiyani said that the scope of Sehat Sahulat Programme has been extended to the whole Country.

Aamer Kiyani said that Sehat Insaf Cards will give the facility of free medical treatment to the people living below the poverty line. He said that the package of the card has been enhanced to Rs 0.72 million.

The minister said that 15 million families or 90 million people will benefit from treatment under the scheme.

The health minister said that health cards will be distributed in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and tribal areas. He said that through Sehat Insaf Cards, the people will have access to free treatment of heart operations, stunts, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, dialysis and maternity services etc.

Aamer Mehmood Kiyani said that the government is working day and night to improve the health sector.
