Google promotes Ustad Alla RakhaIslamabad: Google is promoting Ustad Alla Rakha who is considered as one of the greatest Tabla Nawaz (Tabla player) of Indian musical saga.

Google has dedicated doodle on 95th birthday of Ustad Alla Rakha by showing the two ‘O’s as a tabla while Ustad Alla Rakha is seen playing them wearing white kurta. 

   

Ustad Allah Rakha was born on April 29, 1919 in Phagwal, Jammu as Allarakha Qureshi Khansaheb. At the age of 12, he left home to learn tabla and in 1936 he joined the All India Radio. A few years later, he joined the Bollywood industry as a music composer under the name AR Qureshi.

He was married to Bavi Begum, and had three sons, Zakir Hussain, Fazal Qureshi and Taufiq Qureshi and a daughter Khurshid Aulia née Qureshi. His son Zakir Hussain is another legend of India and one of the best Tabla Nawaz of all times.

According to some newspapers of Pakistan, Alla Rakha also married  Rohi Bano who was a TV artest in Pakistan.
