Four militants including a foreigner killed in South Waziristan drone strike

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: A US drone strike killed at least four militants including a foreigner and injured several others in the Birmal tehsil of South Waziristan on Thursday.

The sources said that the drone fired two missiles at a compound in Birmal tehsil, destroying it completely.

On Tuesday, Pakistan urged the United States to halt drone attacks in its territory permanently to remove a serious irritant in their relationship.

“The six months break in US drone attacks in Pakistan improved the relationship between the two countries and it was appreciated by all segments of the society,” the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali khan said in a meeting with a US delegation headed by the US Special Representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan Daniel Feldman.

“United States should halt drone attacks in Pakistan permanently in order to remove a serious irritant in our relationship,” Nisar said.
