ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and has quarantined himself at his home.
In a twitter message, the foreign minister apprised that he felt a slight fever on Friday afternoon and immediately quarantined himself at his home.
Qureshi said that he has now tested positive for COVID-19; however, he added that he would continue to carry on his official duties from his home.
This afternoon I felt a slight fever and immediately quarantined myself at home. I have now tested positive for Covid 19. By the grace of Allah, I feel strong and energetic. I will continue to carry on my duties from home. Please keep me in your prayers.

Since February 26, a total of 221,896 people throughout the Country have been diagnosed as having the COVID-19 infection.
However, now 113,623 COVID-19 patients have now been recovered while 4,551 have died of it; therefore, now the number of active Cases are 103,722.
Earlier in the day, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Secretary General Dr. Hadi Soleimanpour, and exchanged views on matters relating to ECO’s vision, response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ECO’s projects for enhanced economic cooperation and connectivity, and developments in the region.
