ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in the Tillaberi region of the Republic of Niger that resulted in the loss of so many precious lives.

In a statement on Thursday, the Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said that the government and people of Pakistan extend their deepest sympathies and condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.

“Pakistan reiterates its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations,” the Spokesperson said.

“We reaffirm our strong support and solidarity with the government and people of Niger in this moment of grief,” he added.

On Monday, gunmen riding motorcycles attacked a group of civilians returning from a weekly market in the Niger’s southwestern Tillaberi region, killing at least 58 of them.
