BAGHDAD, Iraq: The Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that there is immense potential to increase trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Iraq.

While addressing the Pakistan-Iraq Business Forum in Baghdad on Tuesday, the foreign minister said the both the Countries need to transform the fraternal relationship into a partnership.

The foreign minister assured that Pakistan will cooperate with Iraq in all fields especially with business communities to benefit from opportunities of trade and investment.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed between Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan and Iraq on this occasion.

The MoU will facilitate linkages between business community of both Countries.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari in Baghdad.

During the meeting, matters related to all areas of bilateral interest came under discussion.

The foreign minister and Iraqi Interior minister agreed to enhance cooperation in people-to-people contacts.

The issue pertaining to visa facilitation for Pakistani Zaireen and traders was also discussed in the meeting.
