Five killed, several injured in rain related incidents in Karachi

KARACHI, Pakistan: At least five persons have lost their lives while several others have sustained injuries in rain related incidents in Karachi.

   

As a result of electrocution, two persons lost their lives in Buffer Zone area of the city while a man died in Metroville area of Karachi’s Site area after a wall collapsed on him.

Similarly, a woman and two children died when a wall fell on them in the Naval Colony.

The K-Electric spokesman said that power supply has been disrupted after feeders tripped due to heavy rain. He said that efforts are underway to restore power supply at the earliest.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson of the ministry of water and power said that electricity is being provided to all districts of Sindh from the national grid. He said that K-Electric is being supplied electricity as per its quota.
