Five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign begins in IDPs camps

BANNU, Pakistan: A five-day anti-polio vaccination campaign began at the camps of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of the North Waziristan tribal region in Khyber Pakhtankhwa’s Bannu district on Monday.

The district health officer Bannu Dr. Akbar Jan said that during the campaign, polio and measles vaccine will be administered to 32,000 children up to 10 years of age.

Moreover, he said that 7,000 children under two years of age will be vaccinated against nine diseases.
