Zardari urges upon Imran Khan to return to parliament

LARKANA, Pakistan: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman and Former President Asif Ali Zardari has urged the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to return to the Parliament.

“I invite Imran Khan to return to the Parliament so that we could join hands to empower the Election Commission,” the PPP co-chairman said while addressing a gathering on the occasion of death anniversary of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto at Naudero in Larkana on Saturday.

“I congratulate Kaptaan over judicial commission, but it is not sufficient to prevent the role of ROs,” he added.

Zardari said that if Imran Khan returns to the National Assembly, his party will support him on the issue of electoral reforms.

The former president further said that the Parliament should be taken into confidence over the Yemen issue. He said that the Muslim world is being weakened by plunging it into civil wars.

The PPP co-chairman said that blood is being shed in Pakistan and Afghanistan due to wrong decisions taken in the past.

Meanwhile, the 36th death anniversary of founding Chairman of the PPP and former Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was observed on Saturday.

The PPP had chalked out various programmes to pay tributes to their founding leader.
