PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The problems of earthquake victims in the affected districts have increased following a heavy downpour early Wednesday morning that turned the weather cold and chilly.

Dir Lower, Swat, Chitral, Peshawar, Kohistan and other quake hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhkwa was lashed by the heavy downpour this morning and hit quake victims living in makeshift tents by increasing their woes.

According to Met Office, the maximum rain was received by Dir 66milimeter followed by Malamjaba Swat 35mm, Kalam 30mm, Pattan Kohistan 29mm, Lower Dir 27mm, Drosh Chitral 24mm and Saidu Sharif 22mm respectively.

Chitral received 22mm, Peshawar City 20mm, Peshawar A/P 9mm, Kohat 6mm, Bannu 2mm, D.I.Khan one millimeter respectively.

People living in the makeshift tents are being hit by the heavy downpour while victims in open take shelters in nearby houses.

The Met Office forecast more rain-thunderstorm with snowfall is expected over the hills at scattered places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) while at isolated places in Kohat divisions in next 24 hours.
