US will never support unconstitutional steps in Pakistan: Olson

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The US ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson has said that they will never support unconstitutional steps in Pakistan and there is a need to strengthen democratic institutions in the country.

Talking to BBC, Olson said that the United States supports supremacy of law and constitution in Pakistan.

The US envoy said that his country supports Pakistan army operation against the militants in the North Waziristan tribal region to establish writ of the government in the area.

Olson appreciated Pakistan government efforts to eliminate all militants groups.
