In Sindh, more than 6,000 teams will administer polio drops for some 8.8 million children across the province, according to the executive district officer (EDO) health.
The EDO health said that a total of 2.26 million children in Karachi will be targeted during the massive campaign.

In May, the Worth Health Organization (WHO) imposed strict travel restrictions on Pakistan due to increasing cases of polio in the country, making it mandatory for Pakistani citizens to carry a polio vaccination certificate during foreign travel.
