ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Around 10.8 million children will get polio vaccine in Punjab as a three-day anti-polio campaign was launched across the province on Monday.

During the campaign, children up to five years of age will be administered polio drops in 36 districts of Punjab, and for this purpose, 40,000 polio teams have been constituted.

Meanwhile, strict security arrangements have also been made to avoid an untoward situation.

Officials said that polio teams would go door to door to administer the drops while fix points had also been established at all government hospitals, airports, railway stations and other entry and exit points of cities.

The Punjab government was determined to give the province a healthy generation and therefore all out efforts were being made to provide healthcare facilities to the masses.
