Terrorist outfit abducted GB Minister Obaidullah Baig at Babusar Pass

Monitoring Desk: Minister of Gilgit Baltistan Obaidullah has been abducted near Babusar Pass and negotiations for his release are underway at Jhalghat with abductors who are demanding the release of TTP terrorists involved in the Nanga Parbat foreign climbers massacre.

After the government started negotiations, the rise of terrorism had been in reports in the area of Swat and Kohistan but the government had always denied that TTP is back in action. This event unfolded the gravity of the presence of terrorists again they were before military action against them. Talks with TTP were started by the PTI government. Abaid Ullah Baig sent an audio message in which he stated that he was traveling from Islamabad to Gilgit when he was abducted near Babusar Pass. “Local had been reporting to authorities that TTP militants ruled the area from Jhalghat to Chilas but the governments of KPK or GM are not ready to accept the reality”, claim local person in Naran.

State authorities are keeping quiet about who abducted the minister but information coming from Kaghan valley indicates that TTP and government negotiations are underway.
