Faisalabad: Chairman Sunni Ittehad Council Sahibzada Fazal Kareem has passed away.  He was 59.

Confirming his demise, doctors and family sources said the religious leader was hospitalized since Saturday after he went into coma.

Sahibzada Haji Muhammad Fazal Karim was born on October 24, 1954  in Faisalabad. He elected MNA for his first term as a PML(N) candidate and was previously politically affiliated with JUP. A businessman by profession, he completed his master degree  in Islamic Studies from Jamia Rizvia, Faisalabad  in 1987.

He was also Member of Provincial Assembly Punjab during 1993-1997 and Minister of Punjab Province from 1997-1999. He left 4 sons and a daughter behind him.
