ISLAMABAD: Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Federal Interior Minister will chair a high level meeting at the interior ministry to finalize security plan and  policy in consultation with armed civilian groups working under his ministry.

The heads of sensitive and law-enforcement agencies will attend today’s meeting meant to formulate a consolidated security policy to grapple with the aggravating law and order situation in the country.

The chiefs of law-enforcers will put forward different proposals to improve the law and order. Meantime, interior ministry decided to equip vehicles with special security micro-chips with complete information regarding the vehicles and the owners.

The sources privy to interior ministry said these special chips will be prepared with the help of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and security pickets and check posts will be furnished with streamlined sensors for checking. The security man will have all details regarding a vehicle and its owner flashing on his computer screen as the vehicle passes through the picket
