MULTAN, Pakistan: The model Qandeel Baloch has been strangled to death for ‘honour’ by her brother in Muzaffarabad area of Multan on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Fouzia Azeem alias Qandeel Baloch was famous for her bold statements and videos on Social Media, and was allegedly married thrice.

Talking to media, the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Azam Sultan told that Qandeel’s younger brother Waseem strangled her to death in Green Town area of Muzaffarabad.

Police said that Qandeel’s brother had already threatened her over her Facebook posts and videos. Qandeel had also been asked to quite modelling, according to her family sources.

Sources said that Qandeel’s family confirmed her death and said that her brother strangled her to death in Multan residence where she had been living for one week.Qandeel Baloch Photo after the murder

Earlier, Qandeel Baloch while talking to media had revealed that she was receiving life threats and sought security but was not provided. She was also planning to move abroad after Eidul Fitr.

Last month, Qandeel Baloch remained in the limelight after her ‘selfies’ with Mufti Abdul Qavi surfaced in Social Media. Later the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee suspended Mufti Abdul Qavi as Committee’s member.
