ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah Wednesday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not support any undemocratic step to oust the elected government.

“Being a politician and worker of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s party, I will not support any undemocratic step to oust the elected government,” Khursheed Shah said while talking to media in Islamabad

He expressed concerns over the prevailing political scenario, saying that both the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan should find ways to strengthen the democracy.

“We need to take decisions together by sitting with military leadership in supreme national interest,” he suggested.

To a question, the opposition leader made it clear that the matter regarding leakage of information of the National Security Committee meeting was not a healthy sign for all of us.
