ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a license to another private airline, named Serene Air, to operate in the country.

The airline will begin its operations next month. “The 737-800 is the latest aircraft of Boeing Company,” sources said on Wednesday.

Official website of Serene Air does not provide profile of the company and domestic routes.

However, market experts claim that Serene Air will fly to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta and Multan routes.

Currently, there are three airlines that are already flying on domestic routes, of which one is state-owned – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

The remaining two – Airblue and Shaheen Air – are being run by the private sector. According to the rules, the company is required to have at least three aircraft to establish an airline.
