PESHAWAR: A Pashto actress suffered critical burns injuries after a film producer threw acid on her in Nowshera.
Bushra, also known as Shazia Aziz, was at her house, when film producer Shaukat forced his way in, around 3 am, and allegedly asked her to marry him. On her refusal, Shaukat threw acid on her and escaped leaving the empty can behind.
In this incident, Bushra’s mother and brother also got minor injuries while trying to protect her, sources said.
The actress was immediately shifted to Leady Reading Hospital, where doctors admitted her into intensive care ward and started her treatment. Doctors said that 40% of her body was damaged in the acid attack.
