ISLAMABAD: The joint session of the Parliament will be held at Parliament House‚ in Islamabad tomorrow at 4:30 pm.

President Zardari will add a new chapter to the country’s parliamentary history as he addresses the joint sitting of the parliament for the record sixth time.

According to the constitutional provisions‚ the President has to address a joint session of the parliament at the beginning of the first session of the National Assembly after a general election as well as the first sitting of the National Assembly every parliamentary year.

He will become the country’s first head of the state to address the parliament’s joint sitting for sixth consecutive times.

Earlier‚ former Presidents late General Ziaul Haq and late Ghulam Ishaq Khan had the opportunity to address the parliament five times.
