ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office said on Tuesday that Pakistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack in the Afghan Capital in which a number of precious lives were lost and several got injured.
Earlier in the day, a suicide attacker had detonated a vehicle in Central Kabul which left at least 28 people dead and more than 200 others injured.
“We extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to those who have lost their loved ones and pray for an early recovery of the injured,” the Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said in a statement issued in Islamabad on Tuesday.
“The Government of Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expresses solidarity with the Government and brotherly people of Afghanistan in their hour of grief and struggle against terrorism,” the statement added.
The Afghan Taliban admitted that they were involved in the Kabul suicide blast which occurred a week after the insurgents launched their annual spring offensive.
