ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The COVID-19 pandemic took 95 more lives across Pakistan on August 26 whereas further 4,016 people tested positive, as per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The data showed that the COVID-19 positivity ratio stood at 6.42% in the Country in the last 24 hours.
It revealed that Punjab suffered the highest deaths on August 27 as 40 people died of the virus in the province followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa wherein 25 COVID deaths occurred.
The Sindh province reported 24 deaths, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) 4, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan 1 each.

To date, the Country has registered a total of 1,144,341 COVID-19 Cases including 427,037 in Sindh, 386,578 in Punjab, 159,483 in KPK, 97,956 in ICT, 32,014 in Balochistan, 31,478 in AJK, and 9,795 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In terms of fatalities, in total 25,415 people have so far succumbed to Coronavirus throughout the Country. Out of them, 11,706 people have died in Punjab, 6,766 in Sindh, 4,884 in KPK, 860 in ICT, 689 in AJK, 338 in Balochistan, and 172 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The NCOC’s data showed that 1,026,082 people have so far recovered from the disease in the Country while 92,844 are still battling with the virus.
Meanwhile, 1,101,973 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered across the Country on August 26.
So far, a total of 50,985,184 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the Country.
