Nawaz Sharif urges PTI to practice mature politics

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday urged the protesting parties to shun the course of anarchy and practice mature politics to fight the multiple issues faced by the country.

His remarks came in particular reference to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led by Imran Khan which continues to hold sit-in in the federal capital against the incumbent government.

Talking to the media persons in Islamabad, the prime minister condemned the sit-ins politics and said that we all need to focus on the issues of people including poverty, unemployment, terrorism and security challenges.

The prime minister said that those trying to impede the process of development should reconsider their modus operandi.

Nawaz Sharif said that it appears as if they have no interest in the prosperity of the country, adding that the game being played by them is highly inappropriate.

There are good sentiments about Pakistan both inside and outside the country and those pursuing politics of sit-ins should not try to distort positive image of the country, he said.
