The prime minister said that peace in Karachi is imperative for peace in the country. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the MQM should work together for peace in Karachi.

During the meeting, the prime minister asked the Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad and the Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to resolve issues and maintain harmony between two major parties in the province.
