It should be mentioned here that the MQM’s Coordination Committee called an emergency meeting following PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah’s remarks regarding the dialogues between the party and the PML-N. Sanullah in his remarks said that PML-N’s stance about the MQM is still unchanged.

Following the contemplation, the MQM said in a press conference that the party will vote for the PML-N’s candidate Mamnoon Hussain.

The MQM voiced satisfaction over the statement of Federal Information Minister Pervez Rasheed, who said Sanullah’s statement regarding MQM does not fall in line with the party policy.

Urging upon the MQM not to allow Sanaullah’s views to affect the relations, the federal minister added Rana Sanullah had been directed to fully back the reconciliation process between the two parties.

The federal minister Rasheed the MQM enjoys public trust for a long time now and PML-N eyes its mandate with respect.

The harmony between the two parties over the presidential elections should remain intact, he added, noting Rana Sana has been summoned to account for his statement.

Reacting to the PML-N’s response, the MQM hailed the federal minister Pervez Rasheed’s statement, stressing upon the constitution of a committee to guard against misunderstandings between the two parties.
