LONDON:  Pakistani young activist Malala Yousufzai would return to a specialist hospital in UK to undergo a surgery to reconstruct her skull, her doctor said on Wednesday.

The 15-year-old many acclaimed awards holder, who was shot in the head by the Taliban in October and brought to Britain for treatment, was discharged from the hospital earlier this month to spend time with her family after her initial treatment phase.

Malala would return to hospital within the next 10 days for surgery known as titanium cranioplasty to repair a missing area of her skull with a specially molded titanium plate.
