ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaaf (PTI) leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said on Wednesday that it was a historic day today when supremacy of constitution and democracy had been established, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Addressing the newly elected National Assembly, Hashmi said PTI would fully cooperate with the new government to devise a strategy to combat the drone attacks for ensuring sovereignty of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, he congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif on being elected as new leader of the house.

The PTI leader suggested the new government to take along the small provinces to bring peace there and ensure their development.

He said his party would play constructive role as opposition. However‚ it would extend full cooperation to the government to resolve the problems of the people.
