PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan Tuesday ruled out privatization of government hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that the provincial government was initiating reforms in health sector for better delivery system.            

He said that legal action would be taken against the doctors who violate the rules after the court verdict.

He said this while addressing a press conference here at CM house. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Minister for health Shahram Khan Tarakai, Minister for local government Inayatullah Khan, Minister for labour Shah Farman Khan and Advisor to CM for Information Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani present on the occasion.

Imran Khan said that KPK government is not privatizing the hospitals but they want to reform the government hospitals to improve treatment facilities to people.

Imran Khan said that 95 percent doctors were in the favor of health reforms but only five percent were against due to their own interest.

Reading out a court verdict of December 7, 2015, he said that now the doctors could not stage protest demonstrations on the issue and action would be taken against violators.
