ISLAMABAD: After dropping an inflation bomb on budget-affected people, the government on Sunday approved raise of Rs.2.66/litre in fuel prices effective from 1st of July.

Sources said a summary forwarded to the Ministry of Finance by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) proposed Rs.2.66/litre hike in petrol price.

The summary has been approved. The new prices would be affective from midnight today.

The government approved a raise of Rs2.66 in per litre price of petrol; Rs.3.66/litre on high speed diesel; Rs.3.04/litre on light speed diesel; Rs.2.50/litre on kerosene oil; Rs.2.36/litre on high octane.

The new per litre price of petrol is Rs.102.43; high speed diesel Rs.92.17; kerosene oil Rs.90.29 and high octane Rs.126.77
