ISLAMABAD: Geo ups while ARY down as PEMRA suspends ARY license and revived Geo license. The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has suspended licence of ARY TV channel for airing anti-judiciary programs  and also banned ARY’s talk show Khara Sach and its host Mubashir Lucman.

Meanwhile on completion of suspension of Geo license for 15 days, PEMRA allowed Geo News to start its transmission and Geo News started its transmission after midnight.

PEMRA’s Director Legal Zahid Malik said that Geo Entertainment license was suspended for airing disputed content in its morning show Utho Jago Pakistan.

The PEMRA also banned the morning show, its host Shaista Lodhi and entire team of the program from conducting show on any other channel.

The PEMRA further said that the Geo license will remain under observation and the channel is directed to strictly abide the watchdog’s laws.
