ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Office on Friday summoned the Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Gautam Bambawale and lodged protest over arrest of an in-services Officer of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) in Balochistan.

On Thursday, the security forces conducted an intelligence guided operation near the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman and arrested an serving Officer of RAW.

“The Indian High Commissioner was summoned by the Foreign Secretary today (25th March 2016) and through a demarche conveyed our protest and deep concern on the illegal entry into Pakistan by a RAW officer and his involvement in subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi,” said a statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad.

After his arrest, the RAW officer was shifted to Islamabad for interrogation. He was suspected of involvement in various acts of terrorism and other subversive activities in Balochistan.

Talking to the media on Thursday, the Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti told that earlier Yadaw was an official of Indian Navy who later was assigned the task to work for RAW in Balochistan.

“He was assigned the task to contact militants working for sectarian and separatist organizations in Balochistan,” Bugti said, adding that the spy was also involved in funding and providing training to those militants who were involved in terrorism acts in Balochistan.

“It has been proved that Indian intelligence agency, RAW is involved in committing terrorism in Balochistan by patronizing militants,” he said.
