ISLAMABAD: Chief Election Commissioner‚ Fakhruddin G Ebrahim says forthcoming elections are beginning of a new change in the country.
Talking to a national daily‚ he ruled out any delay in the elections and said the polls of May 11 will be held as per schedule.
CEC said to ensure security and peace he had held talks twice with army chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani for armed forces cooperation in conducting elections.
He said the issues of law and order in Karachi are complex but it is hoped that the elections will be held peacefully in the city.
He said the nation has been asked to use their vote correctly and no one could stop change if 30 percent right votes were cast.
