Monitoring Desk: The echoes of funding the terrorist group Taliban by the US government through US taxpayer’s money is as louder as it could be possible as Elon Reeve Musk has also asked the US government to answer whether are we (US citizens) really sending US taxpayer money to the Taliban?
Responding to the Twitter message of Lara Logan, a South African television and radio journalist and war correspondent who became popular due to reporting about the American invasion of Afghanistan in 2001, Musk asked the US government to answer him. Lora in her message said:
“Imagine giving these terrorists $4 million dollars of your tax money every week? Sound crazy? Because it is -pure insanity”.
It may be mentioned that Tim Burchett who is a member of Congress wrote a letter to President-elect Donald Trump on January 2, 2025, indicating that he (Tim Burchett) raised the issue in the year 2023 but his bill was intercepted and he would again move the bill. He stated in the letter that the US government does shipment of cash payments in US dollars to Afghanistan’s Central Bank. These cash shipments are auctioned off and after that, they are nearly impossible to trek. This is how the Taliban is being funded and plans to fund terrorism around the world.
It may be remembered that the ‘Transatlantic Intelligence Consortium that is a specialized think tank composed of former intelligence officers and counterterrorism experts from Europe, the United States, Canada, and Australia released a report titled “HOW THE US, EU & UN ARE FUNDING THE TALIBAN AND AL-QAEDA” in which it revealed that $40 million every week arrives to Kabul by plane from US, EU to fund Taliban and $7 billion, the money that belonged to the Afghan people
(Afghan Bank reserves) is also at stake and money is being siphoned out to the Taliban and they are using it to fund terrorism globally.
Transatlantic Intelligence Consortium provides essential insight and intelligence to governments and policymakers and it is a highly credible organization. Its report has jolted not only the United States but also the European Union’s member states by telling the people who are exactly funding terrorism in the world and that is the US government.
independent circles who keep their eyes on global terrorism claim that arrangements between Washington and Kabul confirm that Afghan Taliban have offered their services, as usual, to execute a larger plan of the West in the region bordering countries that the West considers as ‘adversaries’ such as Iran, Pakistan, China, and Russia that borders Central Asian states.
