14-member Chinese journalists delegation to attend CPEC Media Forum

Islamabad, Pakistan: The First China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Media Forum will be held here on Tuesday, where the inaugural ceremony will be held at 10:30 am. Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid will be the Chief Guest, while the Ambassador of China, Sun Weidong, is the Guest of Honour. Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Reform Prof. Ahsan Iqbal will be the Chief Guest at the concluding session. Senator Mushahid Hussain, Chairman, Parliamentary Committee on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), will also address the CPEC Media Forum.

A 14-member Journalists delegation from China, representing the leading media outlets like People’s Daily, China Daily, China Radio International, Xinhua, etc, will also participate in what is the first ever Pakistan-China media forum devoted exclusively to the CPEC.

The CPEC Media Forum will have a number of speakers from China and Pakistan, including the National Press Club, Parliamentary Reporters Association and other journalist bodies. The CPEC Media Forum is being organised by the Embassy of China in cooperation with the Pakistan-China Institute, and open to the media for coverage.

This forum was announced in August 2015. Senator Musahid Hussain is the head of Pak-china media forum. Beigi Chao is the head of media forum of Pak-China economic corridor from Chinese side.

CPEC media forum will play a vital role to bridge Pakistani media with Chinese media in future and government is giving special attention to link media of the both countries. It may be mentioned that Chinese media will meet Pakistani media and will also visit National press club during visit of Chinese journalists to Islamabad.
