Chinese companies to invest $ 20 billion in Pakistan’s power sector: Shahbaz

BEIJING: The Chinese companies will make investment to the tune of $20 billion in the power sector projects of Pakistan, which will help generate about 20,000 megawatt of electricity.

This was stated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif in an interview in Beijing as he is in China on an official visit.

Earlier, the chief minister held a meeting with the Deputy Chief of China Development Bank in Beijing and discussed bilateral cooperation and investment in different sectors including energy projects in Pakistan.
