Talking to media representatives in Islamabad on Tuesday, the minister said that the government has no enmity with Altaf Hussain and his party as the cases against him were registered in London.

Nisar said that both Pakistan and the United Kingdom are cooperating in Imran Farooq murder and money laundering cases.

On Saturday night, the MQM Chief in his speech again criticized Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies and invited NATO forces and India to interfere in Pakistan’s internal matters.

Later on Sunday in a press conference, the interior minister termed Altaf Hussain’s speech as tantamount to waging a war against the state of Pakistan. He said that the government has decided to take a legal action against Altaf Hussain over his objectionable speech against the state institutions.

Today, the interior minister told media persons that a legal reference is being prepared against the MQM chief for his provocative statements against state institutions. He said that the reference to be sent to the British government will envisage the element of criminality and its contents will be shared with the media.

The minister assured that any negativity on Pakistan’s security interests and dignity of its institutions will not be tolerated whether it comes from Altaf Hussain or others.

Earlier addressing a ceremony at Rawalpindi police lines, the interior minister said noose has been tightened around the terrorists.

Chaudhry Nisar said that overall situation has improved a lot in the last two years but the war on terror has yet not completed. He said that this war has entered a decisive phase in which police has to play an important role.

The federal interior minister said that the armed forces, civil armed forces, police and intelligence agencies will have to continue their coordination for successes in the war on terror.
