KARACHI: Justice (retd) Kurban Alvi-led caretaker Sindh cabinet will be sworn in today ( Saturday) in the Governor House at 2pm, assuming the responsibility of the Sindh government till new elected government is installed, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The cabinet, finalized by the caretaker CM Sindh and Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on Friday, would be relatively large consisting of 16 ministers and two advisers, most of them technocrats drawn from different sections of society.

The sources said that none of the would-be ministers whose names had been finalised had any political affiliation or background in order that they could help the chief minister in holding free, fair and transparent general elections on May 11.

The final list of the would-be ministers include Dr K.M. Lohani, Dr Anees Haroon, Dr Junaid Ali Shah, Muhammad Sharif Ansari, Nawab Qalbe Hussain Lahori, Abdul Qadeer Chohan, Khalid Latif, Khalid Tawab, Yasin Malik, Mehmood Mandviwala, Shabbar Zaidi, Noorul Huda Shah, Sardar Khan Ghoto, Shakeeb Qureshi, Raees Ghulam Qasim Jaskani, Iqbal Daud Pakwala. Haroon Farooqui and Mian Zahid Hussain would be advisers.
