KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain on Saturday expressed no confidence in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and described the delimitation of constituencies in Karachi as a conspiracy to divide MQM’s vote bank, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the MQM chief said that an unconstitutional step was taken by the Election Commission a few days before the general elections. It is people’s right to hold protest against the unconstitutional step, he argued.

Altaf Hussain said that delimitation of constituencies in Karachi was a conspiracy to divide MQM’s vote bank.

The MQM chief demanded the ECP to reverse the decision, adding that MQM would challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.
