KABUL, Afghanistan: The Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has assured the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif that Afghan soil will not be allowed for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

The assurance was given by the Afghan president when the army chief held a meeting with him in Kabul on Wednesday during a visit to Afghanistan he made a day after a horrific terrorist attack at an army-run school in Peshawar that claimed 148 lives.

During the meeting, the COAS also assured the Afghan president full support to the unity government in all spheres including joint efforts against terrorists.

The army chief also met the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Commander General Joseph F. Dunford in Kabul and shared vital elements of intelligence with regard to Peshawar incident.

The ISAF commander also assured of its complete support in eliminating terrorists in his area of responsibility.

The media reports said that the army chief during his visit to Kabul on Wednesday sought handover of top Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Chief Mullah Fazalullah who is wanted for terrorism cases in Pakistan.
