ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Auditor General of Pakistan Rana Assad Amin welcomed the response of Accountability State Authority (ASA) Egypt for considering the request of Pakistan for seeking membership of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institution (INTOSAI).

According to a statement issued here on Friday, the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institution (INTOSAI) is a Working Group on Fight Against Corruption and Money Laundering and Pakistan has submitted formal request to become member of this Organization.

The ASA of Egypt as Chair of the Working Group has informed the authorities that Pakistan would be invited to the next Working Group meeting where membership request of Pakistan would be presented.

The INTOSAI Working Group on Fight Against Corruption and Money Laundering was established aimed at promoting a proactive role and international cooperation between INTOSAI members in reference to fight against Corruption and Money Laundering.
