11 Afghan civilians including children, women killed in US airstrike

KABUL, Afghanistan: At least 11 civilians including two children and two women were killed while another 12 sustained injuries in an airstrike by the US-led forces in Afghanistan’s northeastern province of Kunar.

The Afghan President Hamid Karzai strongly condemned the latest civilian casualties which occurred in the overnight air raid by the US forces in the Narang district of Kunar

“President Hamid Karzai condemns in the strongest terms the bombardment by American forces,” said a statement from the presidential palace.

Meanwhile, the Afghan officials launched an investigation into the deadly incident.
